The advancement and flourishment of a nation or a country certainly depends on the educated people. Acquiring authentic education from the congenial atmosphere of an educational institution, the learners can play important roles in serving a nation or a country. Dania College is such an enriched educational institution which ensures congenial and favorable atmosphere for the learners. It is located at the edge of Jatrabari in Dhaka city. This institution is politics and violence free which is also a place of cultivating knowledge. It is also free from all ominous powers. A good number of students of HSC Degree and Honors are getting right education from a galaxy of well-trained and experienced teachers in a decent and congenial environment.
Meanwhile, Dania College has been able to draw the attention of the gentle society having the principle of ‘Education’, ‘Discipline’ and ‘Progress’.

SPEECH OF THE PRINCIPAL
“Virtue is knowledge” i.e. there is no virtue without knowledge. Proper knowledge enhances humanity. Knowledge is the root of all virtues, values and enrichment. On the other hand, ignorance begets all evils and bigotry. No one wants to be involved with evils rather it is bigotry which compels one to do it. So acquiring knowledge should be the main pursuit of human being. Because, the omnipotent creator has sent human being on this earth with a special purpose and that is “Acquiring Knowledge”
Education is a process by which our mind develops. It helps us to cope with different situations and helps us to overcome obstacles to progress. It makes a man responsible to his/her duties and responsibilities. Through education, one will discover the truth and will involve himself/herself with social activities.
A society, devoid of education, is like a hell where there are sufferings, discontent and anarchy. Realizing the importance and to bring about a better change, some local, conscious people co- operated to establish ‘Dania college’ beside the historical Dhaka- Chittagong highway at Dania, Jatrabari in 1984.
In the very beginning, the college started its journey with intermediate level. But with the passage of time, It has now become a university college. At present it is the best educational institution in Derma, Jatrabari, Kodomtoli and Shampur than. From different points of view, it is far better than any other well-renowned colleges. The college campus is politics, violence and smoking free, there are two shifts. Morning shift is for the girls and day shift is for the boys. But the classes of Degree and Honors are held from 1:00- 4:00 pm. For the enhancement of creativity of the pupils, there are lots of scopes for co-curricular activities.
The concerned bodies including the honorable Chairman of college governing body, honorable members of GB, local people, Vice- principal, young students, honorable teachers and all are much conscious about keeping a congenial and favorable atmospheres in this college. The over all result of this college is praise worthy. I think, the well experienced teachers, congenial atmosphere and other facilities will surely encourage a learner to study in this college.
My heartily congratulations and welcome to those new- comers who believe in the philosophy of “Know thyself”.
